JOHN WOOLLEY

John Woolley's shooting career has been long and distinguished. It has moved him to become one of the world's top wingshooters and sporting clays instructors. Many of today's winning international shooters have been John's students.

John started his teaching career in England, at his well known shooting school, Fieldsports. The top European sporting clays magazine, "Sporting Gun," publicized John's articles because of his extensive knowledge and experience. John's shooting career has included winning the World Professional Doubles Championship in 1987 and the Beretta World Sporting Clays Championship in 1990. He has represented Great Britain many times on their four man National Team and twelve gold medals and one silver remain in his collection.

John has been an ambassador to wingshooting in the United States and is proud to have been asked to serve as Captain of both the US Veterans Sporting Clays team as well as the Veterans FITASC team. In addition, in 2015, John was inducted into the National Sporting Clays Association's Hall of Fame.

John has also become a desired target setter. FITASC, with 55 countries included in its membership, has selected John to design many of their championship courses. These include:

  • 1990: The European Championship course in Cyprus

  • 1991: The World Championship course in Andorra *

  • 1991: The European Championship course in Dornburg, Germany *

DALE BOUCHILLON

Dale Bouchillon is not an unfamiliar face when it comes to the Woolley team. Dale first met John Woolley with clay shooting instruction in 2007 as a C class shooter. After his first lesson, his love for shotgun sports didn’t stop. Dale continued regular lessons with John throughout the years working his way up the ranks and fine tuning his shooting techniques.

Pre-shooting life, Dale was an avid Golfer and Martial Artist (3rd degree black belt, don’t mess with him!) With always having a desire to help fellow friends and enthusiasts in both sports, he channeled his desire to coach once he began his shooting journey with beginners at his local club, Forrest City Gun Club in Savannah, Georgia. With an already lengthy list of accomplishments, Dale decided to sell his business and retire in 2019 and focus entirely on his shooting career.

Today, Dale travels to gun clubs all over the South East coaching on average 450 students per year from 5 man clinics to private individual lessons and is head coach of the local Savannah Lowcountry Annie Oakelys. Along the way, Dale has mastered his gun fit skills and has gained an extensive amount of knowledge in the various lines of premium shotguns we offer at Woolley’s.

As the 2020 Georgia Sporting Clays Association Hall of Fame Inductee, Dale represents the core ‘Woolley’ shooting fundamentals very well and is a key asset to the growing success of our company.
