Trade-ins are encouraged to be evaluated in person — this gives us hands-on time with the firearm so we don’t miss anything. Not local? No problem. Send us detailed photos and information, or catch us at an event.

Step 2

Evaluation — what we look for

General condition: handling marks, bore condition, lockup, trigger mechanics, bluing & stock finish, etc. Age of manufacture. Aftermarket modifications. Authenticity. Accessories included.

Step 3

You get a written offer

The offer reflects what we believe aligns with the current market value, age of the firearm, desirability, and condition.

How do you decide what my gun is worth?

For a direct sale, the offer is a fair percentage of current market value — and “market value” means what comparable guns in comparable condition are actually selling for right now, not the original retail price. Where your number lands depends on the gun itself: condition, rarity, desirability, and how quickly it’ll move. Direct sales are based on wholesale pricing, not retail. If you feel our offer for a direct sale is too low, we may recommend taking the consignment option to better align with your expectations.

When do I get paid?

On a direct sale or trade-in, right after we evaluate the gun. On consignment, you’re paid once the transaction is complete and the purchaser has taken possession of the firearm and has surpassed their 3-day inspection period and is satisfied with their purchase.

Which option nets me the most?

It depends on the gun and your timeline. A straight cash sale is the least, but it’s immediate and certain. A trade-in usually beats the cash number, since the value goes back toward your next gun. Consignment can net the most — the gun is listed at market value and you receive the final sale price minus our commission & fees — but you wait for it to sell.

Do you only buy the brands you sell new?

No. We buy the brands we sell new as well as various brands across the board.

Can I put the value toward another gun instead of taking cash?

Absolutely — and it usually works in your favor. It will typically come in higher than the straight cash offer, because the value stays with us for your next gun. New or pre-owned (excluding consigned firearms), the credit applies.

Will you make an offer from photos?

“Ballpark” offers can be given from photos through email or text messaging. Final numbers are discussed once our team gets its hands on the firearm(s) for an honest inspection and evaluation.
