Leading International Instructor

John Woolley is one of the world's leading wingshooting and sporting clays instructors. His methods are based on his knowledge and achivements as a world class shooting champion, top international sporting clays course designer and as a professional wingshooter in England.

John has successfully instructed top international shooters over the years. His previous shooting school in England, Fieldsports, was highly regarded. His authoritative knowledge was recognized in Europe by his contributions to "Sporting Gun", the top European sporting clays magazine.

World Sporting Clays Champion

John has a long and distinguished shooting career. In 1987 he won the World Professional Doubles Championship, and in 1990, he individually won the Beretta World Sporting Clays Championship. Since 1981, John has been in the top ranks of shooters. He's been chosen numerous times to represent Great Britain on it's elite four man National Team, the top sporting clays team in the world and in doing so has won 12 gold medals and one silver.

World Championship Sporting Clays Course Designer

In recent years, John has been chosen by FITASC, the international shooting organization with approximately 55 member countries, to design their World Championship courses as well as numerous other International Championship courses. These included the World Championship course in Andorra in 1991, the 1992 World Championship course at Okemo, Vermont, the European Championship course in Germany in 1991, the European Championship course in Cyprus in 1990, the Pan American Championship course at Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1991, and the Pan American Championship course at Grinders Switch near Nashville, Tennessee in 1994. John has also designed many private courses for sporting clays clubs, individuals, and for corporations.

The FITASC organization has also entrusted John with heading and teaching the world's first International Course Design program. This program certifies successful candidates as having the necessary qualities and abilities to design courses for International Sporting Clays Championships.
